Local entrepreneurs, investors and researchers at the forefront of medical technology will discuss the future of mobile health care at the University of Chicago on Thursday, Nov. 7.
The panel discussion is being hosted by IT Services, UChicagoTech and the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, the organizers of the UChicago App Challenge, an annual competition designed to identify and develop University faculty, staff and students’ high-impact mobile application ideas.
“mHealth at 10,000 Feet: A panel discussion of the present and future of mobile health care,” will be held from noon to 1 p.m. in the Biological Sciences Learning Center auditorium, Room 115 (924 E. 57th St.).
Panelists include:
- Brian Coe, chief executive officer and co-founder of SlipChip LLC;
- Steve Gould, entrepreneur-in-residence at UChicagoTech, the University of Chicago’s Center for Technology Development & Ventures, and founder and principal of Gould Consulting Group LLC;
- Bob Zieserl, managing director of KB Partners Venture Fund; and
- David Beiser, assistant professor in the Section of Emergency Medicine at the University of Chicago and co-creator of 2013 UChicago App Challenge winning app Health Spotr.
