Tentative agreement reached between Medical Center, National Nurses United

After more than eight months of bargaining, the University of Chicago Medical Center and National Nurses United reached a tentative deal for a new collective bargaining agreement, just before midnight April 27.

As a result of the tentative agreement, National Nurses United has withdrawn its strike notice that was scheduled to begin April 30.

Both bargaining teams will work on converting the verbal agreements into a written contract on April 28. Until that process is complete, both parties have agreed not to discuss the terms.
