David Axelrod, senior strategist for President Obama’s re-election campaign, will reflect upon the 2012 presidential election at the University of Chicago on Nov. 26, in his first public forum since the election.
The University of Chicago's non-partisan Institute of Politics will host the event, which will run from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Performance Hall of the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts. Steve Edwards, the Institute’s Deputy Director for Programming, will interview Axelrod, AB’76, with a Q&A to follow. Axelrod will formally join the Institute as its inaugural director in January.
UChicago students, faculty and staff can RSVP here, to help the Institute gauge audience size for the event. Please note that this RSVP does not guarantee admission; audience members will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis, and are advised to arrive early as seating is limited. A nearby webcast viewing area will be available for those who cannot be seated in the performance hall. The event also will be webcast through the UChicago Facebook Live tab.
