Community meeting to discuss proposed amendments to University’s Planned Development

The University of Chicago invites community members to attend a public meeting to discuss the proposed amendments to the University’s Planned Development or PD. A Planned Development is a City of Chicago zoning document that governs how owners utilize their land and what uses are permitted within the PD.

As a follow-up to the first PD meeting held in June that outlined the University’s long-term campus planning and previewed the PD process, officials will talk about the specifics of the proposed PD. Attendees also will have an opportunity to ask questions regarding the proposal. Fifth Ward Ald. Leslie Hairston and 20th Ward Ald. Willie Cochran also will be in attendance.

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6 in the Assembly Hall at International House, 1414 E. 59th St. Beverages and cookies will be provided. Please RSVP at http://www.uchicago.edu/rsvp/communitymeeting or by calling David Guyer at 773-834-4549.
