Dorian Abbot

Dorian Abbot uses mathematics and computational models to study climate, habitability, ice, and exoplanets. His research includes both studying ancient climates on Earth as well as climates and life on planets beyond the solar system. 

Assoc. Prof. Abbot has been a junior fellow of the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research and a University of Chicago T. C. Chamberlin Postdoctoral Fellow. He has also held fellowships sponsored by the National Science Foundation and the U.S. Department of Defense.  In 2021, he was recognized as a Hero of Intellectual Freedom by the American Council of Trustees and Alumni (ACTA).
