Roderick Tung

Roderick Tung, MD, is a specialist in cardiac electrophysiology. He is an expert in the management of heart rhythm disorders (arrhythmias), with a particular focus on advanced therapies for atrial fibrillation and ventricular arrhythmias. He specializes in catheter ablation — a procedure that targets and cauterizes abnormal tissue to eliminate heart rhythm irregularities. Dr. Tung is also one of a few electrophysiologists in the world who routinely performs epicardial mapping and ablation.

In addition to Dr. Tung's clinical work, he is dedicated to researching and investigating new and innovative ways to treat and manage arrhythmias. He currently serves as the principal investigator for several prospective  clinical trials focusing on the role of robotic navigation, high-density multi-electrode mapping and early intervention to improve patient survival. Dr. Tung's work has been published in numerous respected, peer-reviewed journals, including CirculationJournal of the American College of CardiologyHeart RhythmCirculation: Arrhythmia Electrophysiology and Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology.
