Waite’s research focuses on the National Social Life, Health, and Aging Project (NSHAP), a study which has at its core a national survey of older adults first interviewed in 2005 and 2006. In 2010 and 2011, a second round of interviews was conducted with the Wave 1 Respondents, Wave 1 Non-Interviewed Respondents, and their spouses or cohabiting romantic partners. A third interview is planned for NSHAP respondents and their partners.
