Maggie Shi

Maggie Shi is an assistant professor at the University of Chicago's Harris School of Public Policy and a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research. In her research she studies how policy decisions shape the behavior of healthcare providers and their patients, and the implications for the cost and quality of healthcare. 

Prior to joing UChicago's faculty, Assistant Professor Shi graduated with her PhD in economics from Columbia University in 2022 and was a postdoctoral fellow in aging and health at the National Bureau of Economics from 2022 to 2023.
