Greg Green is Professor (SIP) and Director of the MS in Applied Data Science Program at the University of Chicago, Director of Transform Accelerator Program at Polsky, as well as Senior Director for Industrial Partnerships and Strategy at the Data Science Institute. He prepares professional data science students to solve complex industry problems and make a meaningful impact.
Dr. Green has reshaped professional data science education by developing and launching innovative courses that take an applied approach to topics such as “Leadership in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence”, “Consulting in Data Science”, “Machine Learning”, and “Your Career in Data Science”. He is committed to developing a curriculum that blends technical expertise with real-world application, equipping students for success in both academia and industry.
Throughout his career, Dr. Green has leveraged his expertise in digital strategies, business analytics, and new product development to drive revenue growth and business transformation. His contributions to academic innovation include authoring a Marketing Analytics course and designing a prerequisite Applied Statistics course at Northwestern University, where he also served as a lecturer.
Dr. Green’s industry leadership includes roles as Chief Data and Analytics Officer at Harland Clarke Holdings, Director at Google, EVP/Managing Director at Publicis Groupe, and Analytics Practice Lead at PwC. His patented cloud-based media analytics platform has been featured in Harvard Business Review and Fast Company.
