Daniel W. Golden

As a radiation oncologist, Daniel W. Golden, MD, MHPE, provides highly skilled care for patients with a range of cancers, including brain, head and neck, lung and genitourinary malignancies. He also uses targeted radiation therapy to treat benign conditions. Dr. Golden has expertise in many radiation techniques and focuses on minimizing damage to normal tissues.

His research focuses on facilitating communication between physicians and patients.  He developed a patient education tool that utilizes graphic narrative to help physicians and nurses explain the radiotherapy treatment process to patients with cancer.  He has developed multiple new educational methods for radiation oncology trainees.  He is very active in medical education, teaching and mentoring medical students and residents and developing new clinical radiation oncology educational curricula.
