Summary

Botany Pond is host to a remarkable variety of animals given its tiny size and location in Hull Court-a biodiversity hotspot in the middle of campus. Ducks, four species of turtles, a dozen species of dragonflies and damselflies, and a variety of other animals and plants all live with the rhythm of their lives (and their reproduction) intimately tied to this tiny speck of water and its changes over the seasons. Botany Pond has been part of the educational, social, and contemplative life on campus for the past century. This multimedia presentation celebrates the denizens of Botany Pond and the moments of tranquility, tenderness, and drama that punctuate its days.
