The defining feature of Studio Gang’s design for the John W. Boyer Center in Paris is a brise soleil facade composed of cylindrical bâtons enrobed in Lutetian limestone—a stone that underlies much of the Paris region and recalls the architecture of UChicago’s Hyde Park campus.
