Anna Showers-Cruser says her artwork is loosely based on a story by poet and experimental writer Kathy Acker. “I was thinking a lot about garments and the body. There's work here with vinyl that's been wrapped around silicone and suspended in the manner of a liturgical or protest banner, so I think a lot about heraldry and flags. It's an autonomous sculpture, but you can think about gathering around it, picking it up and processing with it.”
