Summary

In April 2013, President Obama created the Presidential Commission on Election Administration to critically evaluate voting processes across the country, such as polling place location and design, poll worker training, voting machine technology, and voting accessibility. Based on the findings of that evaluation, this symposium aimed to raise public awareness of an aging and broken elections administration system, and provide practitioners with practical steps and realistic strategies for implementing the Commission’s recommendations.
