Biography
Salikoko Mufwene is a linguist who has spent the past 20 years working on characteristics of Gullah, African American English, Jamaican Creole and English. A faculty member at the University of Chicago since 1992, Mufwene has taught such courses as Language and Globalization, The Ecology of Language Evolution, The Development of Creole Vernaculars and Cultures, and Dialect Voices in Literature.
