Randall D. Schmidt

Randall D. Schmidt joined the Mandel Legal Aid Clinic in January 1981 and specializes in employment discrimination cases. His primary focus is on litigating discrimination cases in federal court and before administrative agencies. He is also interested in using legislative advocacy as a method for reforming and improving the rules, procedures and remedies that apply to employment discrimination cases in Illinois. Following law school, Schmidt practiced law in the area of commercial litigation.

Following law school, Schmidt practiced law with the Chicago law firm of Aaron, Schimberg, Hess, Rusnak, Deutsch and Gilbert. At that firm, he practiced in the area of commercial litigation.  

Schmidt is a member of the bars of the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the Trial Bar for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the Supreme Court of Illinois.
