Richard M. Daley and Karen Freeman-Wilson Announce New Initiative with the University of Chicago
On September 25, 2012, former Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley, Distinguished Senior Fellow at the Harris School of Public Policy, and Karen Freeman-Wilson, Mayor of Gary, IN, announced a collaborative project between the University of Chicago, Chicago Harris, and the city of Gary. President Robert J. Zimmer and Chicago Harris Dean Colm O'Muircheartaigh joined Daley and Freeman-Wilson in describing how Chicago Harris students, faculty, and Gary city officials will work to create public policy initiatives designed to revitalize the city.
