Austrian Consul General Thomas Schnöll assesses the effects of the monetary union's biggest monetary crisis since its 1999 formation and the future consequences of current debt crises. The outcome will determine the EU's role on the world stage.
Schnöll is a career diplomat, and his previous postings include the Austrian Embassy in Paris, the Permanent Representation of Austria to the EU in Brussels, where he was responsible for the Western Balkans, and Head of Unit for the Western Balkans at the Foreign Ministry in Vienna.
