The arts are a core community asset, and the South Side of Chicago recently served as a shining example to 100 artists and arts administrators from around the country. As part of a two-day preconference for the annual Americans for the Arts convention, they journeyed to the South Side to engage in case- and place-based learning about the values, policies, and practices required to achieve and sustain cultural equity.
