Graduate Student Support

The University of Chicago is committed to the success of graduate and professional students. In February 2007, President Zimmer announced a new Graduate Aid Initiative that provides nearly $50 million over the next six years in new financial support for incoming students in the Humanities and Social Sciences.
In May 2007, Provost Thomas F. Rosenbaum appointed the Working Group on Graduate Student Life in the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Divinity School to explore issues of graduate life relevant to both current and future graduate students.
