Planned Development Documents

On February 16, 2012, the Chicago Plan Commission will consider an amendment to Institutional Planned Development #43. The documents listed below are subject to Plan Commission approval and there is no official recommendation from the City of Chicago Department of Housing and Economic Development prior to Plan Commission review. Nonetheless, these documents reflect the minor changes and edits negotiated with City staff since the University staff presented the materials to the community on January 19, 2012.

On December 7, 2011, The University of Chicago filed an application for an amendment to the City of Chicago zoning ordinance for Planned Development No. 43.

Meeting Materials

The University of Chicago held several meetings to discuss proposed plans to update a Planned Development, a formal City of Chicago document that explains how the University uses its land and what uses are permitted.

University officials and local elected officials were on hand to talk about the goals and the process of the PD along with discussing the long-term vision for the campus.
