As limited quantities of H1N1 (swine) flu vaccine continue to arrive, the University is offering vaccinations to all students age 24 and under at a special clinic on Wednesday, Nov. 25, from 11 a.m.—2 p.m. in the Reynolds Club. Look for a Student Care Center table outside the McCormick Tribune Lounge, and please bring your student identification.

The Centers for Disease Control has determined that people age 24 and under are at higher risk related to H1N1 flu, and gives them higher priority in the guidelines that govern distribution of the vaccine.

In accordance with CDC guidelines, we also will continue to make the vaccine available to members of the University community who have certain medical conditions that make them more vulnerable to complications arising from the flu, as specified on this website: http://www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/highrisk.htm.

We cannot control or predict how much H1N1 vaccine public health authorities allocate to the University, but we continue to make it available to the community as it arrives. We appreciate your patience. We will make every effort to notify you if we run out of vaccine Wednesday, and we will notify you as more vaccination clinics are scheduled. We urge you to continue to take common precautions to keep yourself healthy, and to isolate yourself if you have flu symptoms.
