Road closures and parking to be affected by April 7 presidential visit to UChicago

On Thursday, April 7, President Barack Obama will return to the University of Chicago Law School for a discussion with law students and faculty.

A ticket is required to attend the event, and it is not open to the public. A live webcast of the event may be viewed on Thursday at https://uchic.ag/obamawebcast.

The community should be prepared to experience daylong parking bans and intermittent street closures in the immediate vicinity of the Law School at 1111 E. 60th St.

There will be “no parking” signs from 59th to 61st street and from Ellis to Woodlawn avenues all day on Thursday. If a vehicle is parked on one of these streets, it will be towed.

Pedestrian access will be restricted in and around the Law School on Thursday.
