University of Chicago launches new global engagement website

The University of Chicago has unveiled its new global engagement website: global.uchicago.edu. It highlights ongoing UChicago study abroad programs, research initiatives and partnerships in more than 38 countries and on every continent—demonstrating the breadth of the University’s engagement around the world.

The website will share the story of the University’s global reach with faculty, staff and students and provide information about a wide variety of international programs, gathered in one place for the first time. It also will help direct prospective students and faculty, and a general audience that wishes to learn more UChicago’s global programs as well as help connect UChicago alumni in more than 153 countries.

Some of the key parts of the website include:

  • Interactive map highlighting programs in various countries across UChicago’s schools and divisions
  • Spotlight on the University’s overseas campuses and centers
  • Debut of a video about the University’s global engagement
  • A directory of international programs sortable by program, city, country, region and continent

University Communications and the Global Engagement Office will continue to update global.uchicago.edu with new programs. The site’s directory of international programs also contains a comments form for the addition of new initiatives.
